It's ok to not be perfect

by - Saturday, March 23, 2019

Last week I didn't publish any blog post for the first time in 5 years. Since 2014 I have always posted at least once a week. I decided, for the first time, not to post simply to prove to myself that it is not a problem, that nobody dies if I don't follow my plan for the blog, if the photo I decided to post doesn't have perfect quality. Because it's okay not to be perfect.

Trying to achieve perfection can be an advantage because you always want to give your best and work hard. But this, however, shouldn't become a fault. You don't have to break down if you can't always be perfect and flawless. It's ok to make mistakes, it's okay not to be able to do everything right away. We must follow our times and respect ourselves. Precisely for this reason, I wanted to prove to myself that one can change and sometimes stop. And we should not see this as a failure. In fact, last week I wrote:

Dobbiamo seguire i nostri tempi e rispettarci.

It's important to learn to let go and not have too many worries. I'm a perfectionist and it's often difficult for me, but starting with small steps can be a great help. It's fine not being perfect at work, school, and in your life in general. No one is. And not achieving perfection doesn't mean failingDo what you think is right for you: do not feel guilty if you have decided to do or not do something. Be patient with yourself.

I felt the need to write this blog post mainly to write it to myself, but also for anyone who can often feel in this situation. Especially for those who have a blog. We often feel obliged to publish posts, photos on Instagram, write on Twitter at least a few times a day. All this becomes really stressful! This is why we must remember that perfection doesn't exist and we must only give the best of ourselves every day.

And you? Do you ever seek perfection? And to feel dissatisfied if you can't do the things you set yourself? Let me know your opinions.

Have a wonderful day 💕

  2. Parole sante mia cara!
