I have to say, it’s been quite a while since I last wrote on the blog. But do I still remember how to do it? It’s been more than a year since my last post. Every now and then, I think about coming back to it, but I’ve never really found the right moment. Sometimes I miss it and tell myself I should start again, yet I get caught up in everyday life and end up being more active on Instagram instead.
So many things have happened in a year: new passions discovered, new friendships, weddings, countless K-dramas watched and plenty of new books. Who knows, perhaps I’ll write a post about my latest obsessions soon. The most important thing, without a doubt, was my trip to Japan and Korea, simply the most beautiful journey of my life. My mind goes back there every single day, and I really miss it. That’s why I’ve brought the food, the literature, the movies, and of course the products into my everyday life, to add a touch of Asia to my routine. And for that reason, I’d love to share with you my latest haul from Stylevana!
Devo dire che è davvero da un bel po' che non scrivo sul blog. Ma mi ricordo come si fa? È passato più di un anno dall'ultima volta che ho scritto. Per questo ho portato il cibo, la letteratura, i film, e ovviamente i prodotti con me per portarmi un tocco di asia nella mia quotidianità. If you’re a fan of Korea or K-beauty products, then you must know Olive Young. It’s simply the best shop for Korean skincare and makeup, not to mention the most well-known and popular one! Many of their stores are huge, spread over several floors, packed with products organised by category, including ranges for men, and some of them even have stations where you can fix your makeup and hair. In short, an absolute dream!
Among the purchases I made at the time, I bought a cleansing oil from the brand ON: the body. Unfortunately, it’s almost finished, so I’ve had to get myself a new one. I know the brand Pretty Skin quite well, and the packaging is identical to the one from Olive Young! So I’m really curious to give it a try.

Se siete amanti della Corea o dei prodotti k-beauty conoscete assolutamente Olive Young. Semplicemente è il miglior negozio di skincare e makeup coreano, nonché il più conosciuto e famoso! Spesso i negozi sono enormi, a più piani, pieni di prodotti divisi per tipologia, anche per uomo e alcuni hanno stazioni per sistemarsi il trucco e i capelli. Insomma, un sogno!
Tra gli acquisti che ho fatto all'epoca ho comprato un olio struccante del brand ON: the body. Purtroppo è agli sgoccioli e ho dovuto acquistarne uno nuovo. Conosco bene il brand Pretty Skin e il packaging è uguale a quello di Olive Young! Quindi sono davvero curiosa di provarlo.

I needed a conditioner, and I usually buy them in physical shops, but this time I wanted to try a Korean product - and I have to say, I’m really pleased with it! It leaves my hair soft and hydrated without weighing it down. Next time I go to Japan, though, I want to buy the hair mask for fine hair because everyone is absolutely loving it!
Avevo bisogno di un balsamo e solitamente li compro nei negozi fisici, ma questa voluta ho voluto provare un prodotto coreano e devo dire che mi sto trovando molto bene! Lascia i capelli morbidi e idratati senza appesantirli. La prossima volta che andrò in Giappone invece voglio prendere la maschera per i capelli fino perché tutti la stanno amando!

One of the most beautiful experiences I had in Japan was definitely the tea ceremony, with the onsen coming a close second. If you’re not familiar with it, an onsen is a public bath, or what we would typically think of as a Japanese spa. We were incredibly lucky, as every hotel we stayed in had its own onsen. First, you had to wash yourself thoroughly at small stations equipped with stools and water jets, and then you immersed yourself in a hot bath to relax. After walking so many kilometres each day, that moment at the end of a long day was unbelievably soothing. That’s why I wanted to bring a little bit of Japan back home with me. This set of bath salts is truly special: each scent transports you to a different onsen in various regions of Japan, and they are wonderfully fragrant and incredibly relaxing! So far, I’ve only tried four of them, but one is also super colourful.
Una delle esperienze più belle che io abbia fatto in Giappone è stata sicuramente la cerimonia del tè e al secondo posto l'onsen. Se non lo sapete, un onsen è un bagno pubblico o tipicamente conosciuto come spa giapponese. Noi siamo stati così fortunati ad avere l'onsen all'interno di tutti gli hotel in cui abbiamo alloggiato in Giappone. Prima ti dovevi lavare completamente su piccole postazioni con sgabelli e getti d'acqua, successivamente ti immergevi in una vasca bollente per rilassarti. Dopo tanti chilometri fatti a piedi quel momento che concludeva una lunga giornata era incredibilmente rilassante. Per questo volevo poter portare un po' di Giappone anche a casa mia. Questo set di sali è speciale, ogni profumo ti riporta ad una onsen diversa in località diverse del Giappone e sono davvero profumatissime e super rilassanti! Per ora ne ho provate solo 4 ma una è anche super coloratissima.

I placed this order with autumn in mind and, for me, and especially for the Japanese, autumn means osmanthus. Do you know that fragrance that starts to linger in the air when autumn arrives? As if it were peach, apricot and honey all at once... an absolutely wonderful scent. In Japan, this plant marks the changing of the season, and all the products come out in special autumn limited editions featuring this fragrance! I haven’t tried it yet, but honestly, I can’t wait!
Ho fatto questo ordine con la voglia di autunno e per me e soprattutto per i giapponesi, autunno vuol dire osmanto. Avete presente quel profumo che durante l'autunno inizia a sentirsi nell'aria? Come se fosse una pesca, albicocca, miele, un profumo davvero buonissimo. E anche per i giapponesi è una pianta che segna il cambiare delle stagioni perché tutti i prodotti arrivano con le edizioni limitati autunnali con questo profumo! Non l'ho ancora provata ma davvero, non vedo l'ora!!

Then, of course, I had to pick up a few little fun things for the bath! So, why not get a bath bomb with a kawaii surprise inside? I only read about the scent afterwards, it smelled of orange, with a bit of a medicinal note, but to be honest, the water turned completely orange, and I got a little surprise, so for me, it was definitely worth it! 😂
Poi ovviamente dovevo prendere qualche stupidaggine sempre per la vasca! Quindi perché non prendere una bomba da bagno con dentro una sorpresa kawaii? L'odore l'ho letto dopo e sapeva di arancia, un non so che di medicina sinceramente ma l'acqua era tutta arancione e io ho ricevuto una sorpresina quindi per me ne è valsa la pena e l'acquisto 😂
