December is finally here! The most wonderful month of the year. Unfortunately, recently I'm struggling to find some time to blog, but the reason is great: I bought a house! So between the boxes and Christmas music today I'm taking some time for blogging as I'm home from work. If you follow me on Instagram you are already seeing what's inside but I wanted to talk about my first DIY advent calendar from Catrice. Let's find out together!
È arrivato dicembre! Il mese più bello dell'anno. Purtroppo in questo periodo faccio fatica a trovare un po' di tempo per scrivere sul blog, ma la motivazione è fantastica: ho comprato casa! Quindi tra gli scatoloni e la musica natalizia oggi mi prendo un po' di tempo per il blog essendo a casa dal lavoro. Se mi seguite su Instagram state già vedendo ogni casella cosa c'è dentro ma volevo parlarvi del mio primo calendario dell'avvento DIY di Catrice. Scopriamolo insieme!
As you know, every year December arrives and I'm looking for an advent calendar to spend this month with a little surprise every day. I started in 2019 with my first LookFantastic advent calendar and have never gone back! I then also tried other brands such as BareMinerals and Sephora. This year, however, I was very disappointed. All the calendars increased their cost considerably and the products weren't as good as in previous years. Hair scrunches, candles, and tweezers? You can keep them! That's why I was almost certain that I wouldn't get anything this year - then I discovered this do-it-yourself calendar from Catrice.
Come ben sapete ogni anno arriva Dicembre e sono alla ricerca di un calendario dell'avvento per trascorrere questo mese con una piccola sorpresa ogni giorno. Ho iniziato nel 2019 con il mio primo calendario dell'avvento LookFantastic e non sono più tornata indietro! Ho poi provato anche altri brand come BareMinerals e Sephora. Quest'anno però sono rimasta molto delusa. Tutti i calendari hanno aumentato notevolmente il loro costo e i prodotti non erano validi come gli anni passati. Elastici per capelli, candele e pinzette potete proprio tenervele! Per questo ero quasi convinta di non prendere nulla quest'anno poi ho scoperto questo calendario fai-da-te di Catrice.
What's a DIY advent calendar?
Catrice is a brand I know very well and I have bought many products. I bought this calendar on Douglas.it and there were two versions available with different products inside. Also, by subscribing to their newsletter I bought it discounted for only €40.99! I would say that compared to over €100-120 I got a bargain! Inside the pack, there are all 24 products that you can put in paper packages and close with numbered stickers. I decided not to waste the bags and reuse them as gift wrapping and pulled out my LookFantastic advent calendar with the little drawers and let my boyfriend put the products in randomly.
Catrice è un brand che conoscono benissimo e ho comprato molti prodotti. Questo calendario l'ho acquistato su Douglas e c'erano due versioni disponibili con prodotti diversi all'interno. Inoltre, iscrivendomi alla loro newsletter l'ho acquistato scontato a soli €40,99! Direi che rispetto agli oltre 100-120€ ho fatto un affare! Dentro la confezione ci sono tutti e 24 i prodotti che potete mettere in confezioni di carta e richiuderle con degli stickers con i numeri. Io ho deciso di non sprecare i sacchetti e riutilizzarli come confezione regalo e ho tirato fuori il mio calendario dell'avvento LookFantastic con le caselline e far inserire al mio ragazzo i prodotti in modo casuale.
Darling Nude Eyeshadow palette
So far I've received a bronzer, eye shadow, lip balm, lip pencil, nail polish, and much more! But the best surprise was on the first day! This fantastic palette. I had never tried Catrice palettes before and I was pleasantly surprised. The matte colours are super buttery and they are all very pigmented and easy to blend. Perhaps the only flaw they have is that they don't last long on the eyes. But all you need is a primer and you won't have any more problems. I'm really enjoying it and even though they may seem like bold colours, you can do super simple and bright looks that are perfect for the holidays.
Ad oggi ho ricevuto un bronzer, un ombretto, un balsamo labbra, una matita, uno smalto, e molto altro! Ma la sorpresa più bella è stata il primo giorno! Questa fantastica palette. Non avevo mai provato le palette Catrice e sono rimasta piacevolmente stupita. I colori opachi sono super burrosi e sono tutti molto pigmentati e facili da sfumare. Forse l'unica pecca che hanno è che non durano a lungo sugli occhi. Ma basta un primer e non avrete più problemi. Mi sta piacendo davvero tantissimo e anche se possono sembrare dei colori troppo particolari potete fare dei look super semplici e luminosi perfetti per le feste.
