Last week I didn't publish on the blog because I preferred to enjoy the first days of vacation. In fact, I went to Villach in Austria to see the Christmas markets. It was truly a wonderful day. Christmas has passed and I'm really happy. This was a special Christmas for me because I spent it with the people I love and I prepared the Christmas lunch! In this post, I want to show you some of the gifts I received (especially the beauty ones!).

La scorsa settimana non ho pubblicato sul blog perché ho preferito godermi i primi giorni di ferie. Infatti sono stata a Villach in Austria a vedere i mercatini di Natale. È stata davvero una splendida giornata. Anche quest'anno Natale è passato e io sono davvero felicissima. Questo è stato un Natale speciale per me perché l'ho passato con le persone importanti e mi sono occupata io del pranzo di Natale! The environment is an issue very dear to me. You just turn on the television or read a few articles to be informed about our planet and how it is suffering because of human activities. There are many people who think they can't make a difference, but I think that if each of us starts to make small changes in everyday life, we can make a difference. For this reason today I want to talk to you about some habits, especially beauty related, in order to preserve the planet.

L'ambiente è un tema a me davvero molto caro. Basta accendere la televisione o leggere qualche articolo per essere informati sul nostro pianeta e di come stia soffrendo per colpa dell'uomo. Ci sono molte persone che pensano di non poter fare la differenza, ma io penso che se ognuno di noi inizia a mettere in atto piccoli cambiamenti nella quotidianità, possiamo fare la differenza. Per questo oggi voglio parlarvi di alcune abitudini, soprattutto a tema beauty, per poter preservare il pianeta.

In 2015 I tried the Revlon Colorstay foundation for the first time, and from that day I never stopped using it. For me it was simply the best foundation! I tried others to get an alternative, but none was as perfect as that. Perfect coverage, not heavy on the skin and (above all!!) the perfect color for me. Unfortunately, Revlon tests on animals and my goal was to find an alternative and stop using that foundation. I finally did it! And today I talk about the coverage foundation of The Ordinary.

P.S. one month until Christmas Eveee!!

Nel 2015 ho provato per la prima volta il fondotinta Colorstay di Revlon, da quel giorno non ho mai smesso di utilizzarlo. Per me era semplicemente il miglior fondotinta! Ne ho provati altri per avere un'alternativa, ma nessuno era perfetto come quello. Giusta coprenza, non pesante sulla pelle e (soprattutto!!) del colore perfetto. Purtroppo, Revlon testa sugli animali e il mio obiettivo era quello di trovare un'alternativa e smettere di usare quel fondotinta. Finalmente ce l'ho fatta! E oggi vi parlo del fondotinta coprente di The Ordinary.

Welcome back October. The month where autumn has finally arrived, temperatures drop and nature changes color. By now we are entering the full of my favorite season. The air has a different perfume. There are so many things to do in autumn: walking on dry leaves, going to events with food and local objects, eating pumpkin, add more layers and, obviously, enjoying a relaxing day at home.

Bentornato ottobre. Il mese dove l'autunno finalmente è arrivato, le temperature si abbassano e la natura cambia colore. Ormai stiamo entrando nel pieno della mia stagione preferita. L'aria ha un odore diverso. Ci sono così tante cose da fare in autunno: passeggiare in mezzo alle foglie secche, andare ad eventi con cibo e oggetti locali, mangiare la zucca, vestirsi di più e ovviamente godersi una giornata di relax a casa.

When we want to take care of ourselves the first brand that comes to mind is Lush! A hot bathtub full of bubbles and a thousand colours. As you already know, unfortunately, Lush has closed lots of stores in Italy so as soon as I see one I need to buy something. In fact, when I was in Treviso I decided to try new products that I can't wait to show you!

Quando vogliamo prenderci cura di noi stessi il primo brand che viene in mente è Lush! Una vasca da bagno calda piena di bolle e mille colori. Come già sapete purtroppo Lush ha chiuso tantissimi negozi in Italia quindi appena ne vedo uno devo acquistare assolutamente qualcosa. Infatti, quando sono stata a Treviso ho deciso di provare nuovi prodotti che non vedo l'ora di mostrarvi!

After days of sultry heat, the rain finally arrived. I find these days extremely relaxing and full of peace. I wake up in the morning, eat a fruit smoothie in the garden, do yoga, then dedicate myself to my passions. Obviously one of these is writing on the blog. This year I wanted to make true one of my biggest dreams: visit the Harry Potter Studio in London. If you read my blog, you are well aware of my passion for Harry Potter and it has always been a dream for me to be able to visit the Warner Bros Studio! Last year I went to the Harry Potter Exhibition in Milan and it was a great emotion, but it is not at all comparable to the immensity of the Studios! This Feelunique order is not like the others and if you follow me on Instagram you will surely know why. Over the years I started to show myself more and more on my blog and on social media, but making videos has always been something I wasn't sure about it. Many people I know and even those who follow me on social media have always asked me why I didn't make any videos. So, taking the opportunity to do a little unboxing on Instagram, I decided to make some stories where I spoke in English and talked about these products. The anxiety was high and it was so wired, but I decided to take a huge step out of my comfort zone and it was a success.

Questo ordine Feelunique non è come gli altri e se mi seguite su Instagram saprete sicuramente il perché. Con gli anni ho iniziato a mostrarmi sempre di più sul blog e sui social, ma fare i video è sempre stato qualcosa che non faceva per me. Molte persone che conosco e anche chi mi segue sui social mi hanno sempre chiesto come mai non facessi video. Così, prendendo l'occasione di fare un piccolo unboxing su Instagram, ho deciso di fare delle storie dove parlavo in inglese e vi parlavo un po' di questi prodotti. L'ansia era a mille e non ero minimamente a mio agio, ma ho deciso di fare un grandissimo passo fuori dalla mia comfort zone ed è stato un successo.

The answer is NO! You know me so well and I won't tell you how much I love autumn. Summer is definitely not my favorite season and it seems that spring has never arrived in Italy this year. Although I'm not a lover of super hot days, I love being outdoors, surrounded by nature, the smell of cut grass and light clothes. So, I decided to group some of the things I love the most about the summer into a post.

La risposta è NO! Ormai mi conoscete bene e non vi dirò quanto io ami l'autunno. L'estate sicuramente non è la mia stagione preferita e sembra che quest'anno in Italia la primavera non sia mai arrivata. Nonostante io non sia un'amante delle giornate afose, adoro stare all'aria aperta, vedere la natura che si risveglia, il profumo di erba tagliata e gli abiti leggeri. Quindi, ho deciso di raggrupare in un post alcune delle cose che amo di più dell'estate.

When I started getting into the makeup world, brands like Essence and Catrice didn't exist yet, online shopping wasn't even in my mind and KIKO had recently arrived in Italy. At first, I loved this brand and I bought everything: from powder to lipsticks and above all nail polishes. With time the packaging has become fancier, the prices have risen and personally, I find that the quality has lowered. Let's see if this mascara confirms or changes my ideas.

Quando ho iniziato ad appossionarmi del mondo del makeup marchi come Essence e Catrice non esistevano ancora, lo shopping online non era neanche tra i miei pensieri e KIKO era arrivato da poco in Italia. All'inizio adoravo questo marchio e compravo di tutto: dalla cipria, ai rossetti e soprattutto gli smalti. Con il tempo i packaging si sono fatti più ricercati, i prezzi si sono alzati e personalmente trovo che la qualità si sia abbassata. Vediamo se questo mascara conferma le mie idee o ribbalterà il risultato 😂 (cit.).

It's gonna be May. Yes, along with the usual Justin Timberlake meme, May also arrived. Is it just me or the last few months have flown? How is it possible? Isn't it that we missed April by mistake? I would say the best way to start a new month is to throw away things that no longer belong to us, including finished products.

Today is a beautiful sunny day. This spring weather, especially after a week of rain, always puts you in a good mood. Oggi è una splendida giornata di sole. Questo tempo primaverile, soprattutto dopo una settimana di pioggia, mette sempre di buon umore. Today I come back with a new chatty post. As you well know, I like to update you on the latest passions, movies and TV series seen and much more. These last few weeks have been difficult and intense, so I took the opportunity to treat myself. During periods of stress, you always need to go shopping, take a walk, wear super glittery nail polish, say yes to occasions you would normally refuse. It's important to step out of your comfort zone and get out of your routine.

Oggi torno con un nuovo post chiacchiericcio. Come ben sapete mi piace aggiornarvi sulle ultime passioni, film e serie TV viste e molto altro. Queste ultime settimane sono state difficili ed intense, quindi ho colto l'occasione per dedicare un po' di tempo a me stessa. Durante i periodi pieni di stress bisogna sempre ritagliarsi del tempo per andare a fare shopping, una passeggiata, indossare uno smalto super glitterato, dire di sì ad occasioni che normalmente rifiuteresti. È importante uscire dalla propria comfort zone e routine.

Spring has definitely arrived. I'm writing from my garden. The sun is warm and being outside is a pleasure. Nature slowly awakens, you start to hear birds, and it is really relaxing. After many months, I decided with the arrival of the beautiful season to give a touch of light and freshness to my hair. So after centuries, I decided to go to the hairdresser to cut them (the bare minimum) and lighten the tips. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to hair, especially because I love my natural color. I'm lucky because it's a particular color that clears up a lot in summer. I never have a uniform color is always rich in nuances.

Dopo mesi ho deciso con l'arrivo della bella stagione di dare un tocco di luce e freschezza ai capelli. Così dopo secoli, ho deciso di andare dal parrucchiere per tagliarli (il minimo indispensabile) e schiarire le punte. Non sono una molto avventurosa quando si parla di capelli soprattutto perché adoro il mio colore naturale. Sono fortunata ad essere bionda cenere perché è un colore particolare che d'estate si schiarisce molto. Non ho mai un colore uniforme è sempre ricco di sfumature.

Last week I didn't publish any blog post for the first time in 5 years. Since 2014 I have always posted at least once a week. I decided, for the first time, not to post simply to prove to myself that it is not a problem, that nobody dies if I don't follow my plan for the blog, if the photo I decided to post doesn't have perfect quality. Because it's okay not to be perfect.

La settimana scorsa non ho pubblicato nessun post sul blog per la prima volta in 5 anni. Dal 2014 ho sempre postato almeno una volta alla settimana. Ho deciso per la prima volta di non postare semplicemente per dimostrare a me stessa che non è un problema, che nessuno muore se non seguo alla lettera il mio piano editoriale per il blog, se la foto che ho deciso di postare non ha una qualità perfetta. Perchè va bene non essere perfetti.

Spring is coming and with it the perfect sunny days to take blog photos. For those who are bloggers like me knows how difficult it is to take good pictures during the dark and foggy winter days. Today is a beautiful sunny day and I'm really happy with my photos. Since my duo-fiber brush from Real Techniques got ruined, I had to find a new one. La primavera sta arrivando e con essa le giornate di sole perfette per fare le foto per il blog. I love rain, it's not new. Everyone sees a rainy day just like a sad day: getting wet, going around with the umbrella, the traffic. I know and I don't deny it, driving with the rain makes me nervous because it creates traffic from nothing, but despite this, I continue to adore it. The sound of the rain, watching the rain falling, the smell in the air, everything seems to stop. I find it extremely relaxing and during a rainy day, I can only be calm and happy.

Amo la pioggia, non è una novità. Tutti vedono una giornata di pioggia solo come una giornata triste e fastidiosa: bagnarsi, andare in giro con l'ombrello, il traffico. Anch'io affronto tutto questo, e non lo nego, guidare con la pioggia innervosisce perchè si crea traffico dal nulla, ma nonostante ciò continuo ad adorarla. Il semplice rumore della pioggia, osservare le gocce che cadono per terra, l'odore nell'aria, tutto sembra fermarsi. La trovo estremamente rilassante e durante una giornata di pioggia non posso che essere serena e contenta.

The first time I heard about Illamasqua products was thanks to a Zoella's blog post. I don't know if it's just my impression but I find that this brand is not very well know or appreciated here in Italy. I don't know any physical stores where Illamasqua products can be bought and I haven't read Italian posts about it. This was LookFantastic's Christmas present. On December 25th I found this fantastic highlighter as the last day of the advent calendar.

La prima volta che ho sentito parlare dei prodotto Illamasqua è stato grazie a un blog post di Zoella. Non so se sia solo una mia impressione ma trovo che questo brand non sia molto conosciuto o apprezzato qua in Italia. Non conosco negozi fisici in cui si possa acquistare i prodotti Illamasqua e non ho letto post italiani a riguardo. Questo è stato il regalo di Natale di LookFantastic. Il 25 di dicembre ho trovato questo fantastico illuminante come ultimo giorno del calendario dell'avvento.

I have tried many concealers during these last years: Urban Decay, Wet n Wild, Catrice, Maybelline, etc. but I've never found the perfect one: high coverage, but light on the skin and easy to blend. It is not the first time that I try Essence concealers but they have never impressed me. I often bought them for the affording price. After discovering that Essence had gone out with new products including a new high-coverage concealer, I decided to buy it immediately.

Di correttori ne ho davvero provati tanti durante questi ultimi anni: Urban Decay, Wet n Wild, Catrice, Maybelline, ecc. ma non ho mai trovato quello perfetto: coprente, ma leggero e facile da sfumare. Non è la prima volta che testo i correttori Essence ma non mi hanno mai entusiasmata. Spesso li ho comprati per il prezzo vantaggiaoso. Dopo aver scoperto che Essence era uscita con nuovi prodotti tra cui un nuovo correttore ad alta coprenza ho deciso di acquistarlo immediatamente.

Happy new year! The next week will be 5 years that I opened this blog and I can't be more proud. This year will finally be the year when there will be some nice changes to the blog. Unfortunately, In the coming months, I will organize myself to switch the blog to WordPress. It will be a nice change in the layout and organization of it. I can't wait to show it to you! I'm very happy to never stop publishing at least once a week. To start the new year I want to talk about the latest products I finished in 2018.

Buon anno! La prossima settimana saranno ben 5 anni che ho aperto questo blog e non posso che esserne più fiera. Quest'anno finalmente sarà l'anno in cui ci saranno dei bei cambiamenti sul blog. Nei prossimi mesi mi organizzerò per passare a WordPress. Sarà un bel cambiamento nel layout e nell'organizzazione del blog. Non vedo l'ora di mostrarvelo! Sono molto felice di non avere mai smesso di pubblicare almeno una volta alla settimana. Per iniziare il nuovo anno voglio parlarvi degli ultimi prodotti che ho terminato nel 2018.
