About a week later, and here I'm again, writing another blog post. I did tell you I’ve been feeling particularly inspired lately! I’d been missing chatting about beauty and skincare, so I’m back at it here in my little corner of the internet. December has finally arrived, and with it the decorated tree, Michael Bublé on repeat, and of course… the advent calendar! Ever since 2018, when I bought my very first beauty advent calendar, I’ve never stopped treating myself to this little December ritual. But let’s have a look at what I found in the first few boxes!

Mi mancava parlare di beauty e skincare quindi torno a farlo nel mio piccolo spazio online. Dicembre è finalmente arrivato e con esso l'albero addobbato, Michael Bublé in loop, e ovviamente il calendario dell'avvento! Dal lontano 2018 quando ho acquistato il mio primo calendario dell'avvento beauty non ho mai smesso di farmi questa coccola a dicembre. Ma vediamo cosa ho trovato nelle prime caselle!
Waking up every morning knowing there’s a little surprise waiting for me is such a lovely feeling every single time! And of course, I love being able to try out each product the moment I open it. This year is actually the first time I’ve bought an advent calendar from ASOS. In the past, I’ve gone for ones from LookFantastic, BareMinerals, Sephora and Catrice. What really struck me about this calendar is just how varied it is: there’s makeup, skincare, body care and hair products!
Today, for example, I found a travel-size version of the iconic Laura Mercier powder! I’m honestly over the moon and I’ll be testing it out this afternoon. I’ve been following beauty trends for years, and we all know how popular and well-loved it is, so I’m really curious to see if it lives up to the hype. Last year I bought the one from Huda Beauty and it’s absolutely amazing (everything except the price - £40 for a powder? Crazy). A couple of days ago, I got a MAC lipstick in the shade Cool Teddy. It’s a truly gorgeous colour. The finish is matte and velvety without drying out the lips too much.
Svegliarsi ogni mattina e sapere di trovare una sorpresa è ogni volta una bellissima emozione! Poi mi piace poter provare subito ogni prodotto che trovo! Quest'anno è la prima volta che acquisto un calendario dell'avvento firmato ASOS. In passato ho preso quelli di LookFantastic, BareMinerals, Sephora e Catrice. La cosa che mi ha colpito di questo calendario è la sua varietà. Ha prodotti makeup, skincare, corpo e capelli!
Oggi, ad esempio ho trovato una travel size della famosissima cipria di Laura Mercier! Sono davvero contentissima e oggi pomeriggio la proverò subito. Sono anni che seguo i trend beauty e sappiamo benissimo quanto sia famosa e amata da tutti, quindi sono proprio curiosa di vedere se è all'altezza delle aspettative. Io ho acquistato l'anno scorso quella di Huda Beauty ed è davvero strepitosa (tutto tranne il prezzo, €40 di cipria? FOLLIA). Qualche giorno fa invece ho ricevuto un rossetto MAC nella tonalità Cool Teddy. Un colore davvero stupendo. L'effetto è opaco e vellutato senza seccare troppo le labbra.
As for skincare, I’ve already received a couple of face and body creams, but the ones I’m showing you here are actually two hair products! I got this nourishing treatment from Philip Kingsley, which I’d tried in the past and absolutely loved - their products are honestly amazing. A completely new discovery for me, though, is the brand Hair by Sam McKnight. I’ve already tested this one: you apply it to damp or dry hair after washing. It leaves your hair incredibly soft. Fantastic.
Per quanto riguarda la skincare ho già ricevuto creme per il viso e per il corpo, quelle che vi mostro qui invece sono due prodotti per i capelli! Ho ricevuto questo trattamento nutriente di Philip Kingsley che avevo già provato in passato e lo avevo amato, i prodotti di questo brand sono davvero favolosi! Invece super novità per me il brand Hair by Sam McKnight. Questo l'ho già provato e va applicato sui capelli umidi o asciutti dopo averli lavati. Li lascia incredibilmente morbidi. Fantastico.
